As a first-generation college student and parent, I firmly believe in the advantages of attending college. After being laid off twice from two well-loved employment positions, I realized the need to practice what I preach. That’s why I returned to school for a degree matching my years of experience in case management and supervision. Pursuing this degree will improve my future outcomes and prevent me from having to start again from the ground up. Most importantly, it will help me be a role model, no matter my age, proving that it’s essential to ensure I am always the best version of myself.
I want to highlight the benefits of attending technical colleges like Madison College. Technical colleges provide an excellent option for obtaining certification, technical diplomas, or associate degrees while keeping the cost of education reasonable. They offer multiple pathways to cater to varying interests, making it an ideal approach for learning. Enrolling in a technical college can help you acquire valuable skills, enter the workforce efficiently and pursue a successful career in high-demand industries. It also provides ample opportunities for retooling and expanding one’s current skillset, providing a direct path to improving one’s economic situation.
