Western Technical College

Western Technical College rests between the Mississippi River and the majestic bluffs of the Driftless Region in La Crosse, Wisconsin. In addition to the main campus, Western has five regional locations in western Wisconsin: Black River Falls, Independence, Mauston, Tomah, and Viroqua. Our Public Safety programs meet at the state-of-the-art Public Safety Training Facility in Sparta. Western offers associate degrees, technical diplomas, certificates and a variety of university transfer options.

Blue Steel Bike of La Crosse, Wisconsin, is a mobile bike repair shop for most of the year and a custom frame and bike build shop mainly in winter. Paul Reardon, the owner of Blue Steel Bike, is the brains and the talent behind the uniquely positioned and successful operation. Western To Forgive $740,000 In Student Debt

Western Technical College announced it will forgive nearly $740,000 in student debt for eligible individuals using funds from the American Rescue Plan Act.

Western’s Business and Industry Services to host diversity webinar

Western Technical College’s Business and Industry Services, in partnership with TrustPoint, is hosting a live diversity webinar series in August. The series will be hosted by Terrelle Wilson, a Western adjunct presenter and local business owner who will share his knowledge, experience and unique perspective that encourages open communication about race and diversity within our community.

Western’s Cavalier Cupboard received more donations in pandemic year

A new report from Western Technical College’s Equity, Inclusion and Community Engagement Department shows that use of Western’s on-campus food pantry, the Cavalier Cupboard, declined during the 2020-21 academic year but still served hundreds of students and families during the COVID-19 pandemic.
