Waukesha County Technical College
AI Data Specialist and Data & Analytics Specialist
I chose to enroll in a technical college because the timing in my life was finally right. After graduating high school, pursuing higher education wasn’t an option and I was uncertain about who I was or what I wanted to become.
Over the past 25+ years, I’ve worked in a variety of roles, most notably building a career in the mortgage and finance industry. Through that experience, I gained clarity about my strengths and interests. I discovered that what I truly enjoyed was working with data—analyzing it, interpreting it and using it to inform decisions. What I didn’t enjoy was the sales component. That realization became my light bulb moment.
The Data & Analytics Specialist program felt like a natural fit because it aligns with the part of my career that energized me most. When I learned about the AI Data Specialist dual degree, I immediately recognized the powerful connection between AI and data analytics and the opportunity to be part of a rapidly evolving field.
I am grateful to have found a path that matches my strengths and passions. As the saying goes, when you do what you love, you never work a day in your life—and I finally feel that I am on that path.
