Before my time at Fox Valley Technical College, I was convinced that I would not go to college. I never enjoyed or performed very well in school and believed that I was not cut out for higher education.

Through some encouragement, I decided to give FVTC a chance and my feelings regarding my own education and future have taken a complete 180. I have found success and purpose throughout my time in the program and have come upon some incredible opportunities that I never would have imagined had it not been for FVTC. Essentially, I would say that Fox Valley Technical College is very different from secondary school in that it focuses on helping you build skills and find a path in a career field that matters to you.

I chose Fox Valley Technical College because FVTC seemed to provide a welcoming environment with options that best fit my learning style. While I explored several other options as I left high school, FVTC staff that I worked with during the enrollment process gave a strong impression that they wanted to see me succeed.
