Wisconsin Technical College CNC Programmer-Internal Programs

The CNC Programmer Certificate is the highest level CNC certificate program and is designed to address the need of manufacturers for people with the ability to program computer numerical control (CNC) milling and turning machines using ISO/EIA "G & M" code programming. This course of study teaches learners to write programs to machine parts in CNC lathes and CNC mills. Learners also learn to program CNC machines using computer aided manufacturing (CAM) software. Participants will write programs, proof the programs, set up CNC machines, call up programs, and run the programs that they write to produce parts. This course of study is intensive and participants must complete out-of-class assignments and meet due dates to pass the courses. Classes are held four days a week for eight weeks. Successful completion of the CNC Setup Certificate or an override by Western's full-time faculty is required for entry into the CNC Programmer certificate courses.
