October is Manufacturing Month! The WTCS will be celebrating with several of our colleges hosting events throughout the state.
OCTOBER 7, 2021 // 3–6:30 P.M. MECx: A Manufacturing Experience- CVTC GATEWAY CAMPUS Experience the future of manufacturing with hands on activities at Chippewa Valley Technical College’s MECx: A Manufacturing Experience. Experiment with cutting-edge technology, explore our new, state-of-the-art welding and fabrication labs, take the kids on a scavenger hunt, and watch special demonstrations. Plus, local employers will be available to discuss your next steps to begin a a rewarding, high-paying career in manufacturing.
October 5-7, 2021// WIMTS (WI Manufacturing and Technology Show) at Exposition Center, State Fair Park Gateway will have a booth and talk about our Manufacturing programs.
October 16, 2021// Women in Manufacturing Event From 9 AM to 2 PM we will celebrate "Women in Manufacturing" at the Gateway SC Johnson iMET Center. This is aimed at getting younger-aged girls interested in Manufacturing Careers.
October 13, 2021// Tours with High School Students We will host 6 high schools for tours of the Gateway SC Johnson iMET Center showing them our manufacturing programs and active lab demonstrations.
October 27,2021// 1-4 p.m. 6665 S Howell Ave, Oak Creek, WI 53154 Wisconsin Manufacturing Month - MATC Job Fair MATC's Oak Creek Campus, our CareerHub and our Workforce Solutions teams along with Employ Milwaukee, the Gateway to Milwaukee and the South Suburban Chamber of Commerce are hosting representatives from more than 35 employers for a job fair with a focus on manufacturing along with business, healthcare and more.
October 5-7 – 2021// WIMTS (WI Manufacturing and Technology Show) at Exposition Center, State Fair Park Our Recruitment team will be present and encouraging attendees to explore the power of an MATC education.
October 20-21, 2021// Manufacturing Career Expo-Washington County Fair Park Our Recruitment team will be present and encouraging attendees to explore the power of an MATC education.
October 5, 2021// 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM- Utility Preview Day- NWTC Green Bay, Great Lakes Energy Education Center, Door E2 Learn about Electrical Power Distribution (install, maintain, and operate electrical systems); Gas Utility Construction & Service (natural and propane gas distribution systems); and Telecommunications Tower Technician (build, climb, and maintain towers) for residential, commercial, and industrial customers. Next, you'll head to the Utility Education Field where current students will help you climb a pole, fuse a pipe, operate a backhoe, and more! Parents and other family members are invited to attend with you, but do not need to register. Hard hats and safety glasses will be provided by NWTC. You have two sessions to choose from: AM session from 8:00 am-11:30 am OR PM session from 1:00 pm-4:30 pm. What to Wear: - Weather-appropriate clothing (you'll be outside) - Long pants & sturdy shoes required (no tennis shoes or sandals)

October 22, 2021// WCTC is collaborating with DWD for a Manufacturing panel discussion at Waukesha East High School, an alternative high school. The purpose of this panel is to provide information about manufacturing career opportunities, and the programs WCTC offers to prepare people for these great careers.
October 5-7 – 2021// WIMTS (WI Manufacturing and Technology Show) at Exposition Center, State Fair Park WCTC Faculty and Staff will have a booth to promote our Advanced Manufacturing Programs to WIMTS attendees and vendors.
October 26, 2021// Tours with Industry Partners Tours for business executives to learn more WCTC's Advanced Manufacturing programs, and the many ways employers can connect with WCTC to support their workforce needs.
October 19 and 26 2021// Schools2Skills Tour High school students will tour two manufacturing companies and then arrive at WCTC for our tour of Advanced Manufacturing classrooms and labs.
October 21, 2021// Mobile Job Center with DWD WCTC is partnering with DWD to host the Mobile Job Center and provide tours of our Advanced Manufacturing classrooms and labs to job seekers in Waukesha County.
October 15, 2021// 9am – Noon- Electro-Mechanical Technology program and lab tour at TRUAX campus. This event is by invitation only. Learn about careers and technology trends in Manufacturing, Automation, Robotics, and Maintenance. Get hands-on with an industrial robot and test your strength with an electro-pneumatic force meter. October 27,2021// SPARKS Night - A night of hands-on welding and fabrication in partnership with the American Welding Society Lakeshore Chapter. Welding competition will take place and 2 - $1000 scholarships are awarded donated by the AWS Lakeshore Chapter.
October 6, 2021// 4-7pm- Manufacturing Industry 4.0 Showcase at Cleland Campus Celebrate Manufacturing Month by taking part in our Manufacturing Open House! Walk through our facilities and meet program experts who are here to answer questions you have about all things manufacturing at LTC.

October 12, 2021// 11:15am-12:45pm- Tuesday Tours: Metalworking & IT Experience the opportunities in our Metalworking and IT program clusters. Faculty will share information about their program, show their classroom/shop/lab spaces, and answer questions from participants.
This event will feature instructors from our Welding, Machine Tool Technics, IT Web and Software Developer, IT Cybersecurity, and IT Systems Administration Specialist programs. Please select your desired program cluster when registering below.
