Health and Human Service workers could be eligible for WITC dementia care courses

WITC’s Gerontology – Aging Services Professional program, in partnership with Brad Gingras, the executive director of Northwest Wisconsin Area Health Education Center (NWAHEC), will provide $20,000 to be applied toward tuition and books to 12 practicing professionals who work in WITC’s 11-county region.

As our population gets older, there is a clear need in the health and human service fields to improve the quality of care and support provided to persons living with dementia. To address this concern, two local organizations are partnering to provide free tuition and books toward the Dementia Care pathway certificate at WITC.
