Daniel ClancyWTCS President Phone: 608-266-7983 Dan Clancy serves as President and State Director of the nationally recognized Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS). The WTCS has 16 technical college districts offering more than 300 programs awarding two-year associate degrees, one- and two-year technical diplomas and short-term technical diplomas. In addition, the System is the major provider of customized training and technical assistance to Wisconsin's business and industry community. Each year, one out of every nine adults in Wisconsin receives education from the WTCS. Prior to his appointment as System President in 2004, Mr. Clancy served as WTCS Vice President for Finance and Policy. In that capacity, he directed a wide range of functions including budget development, legislative relations and policy analysis, district financial oversight, state and federal aid administration, tuition and material fee setting, facilities planning and approval, and data reporting and systems management. From 1979 to 1996, Mr. Clancy served as Program Supervisor and Fiscal Analyst with the Wisconsin Legislative Fiscal Bureau where he was responsible for fiscal/policy analysis of the state's K-12 and higher education systems. Mr. Clancy is a native of Detroit, Michigan and a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Michigan State University. He did graduate work at the University of Michigan and earned his master's degree in higher education leadership and policy analysis from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is married with two sons. Mr. Clancy serves on several Wisconsin boards and commissions, including:
