WTCS student leadership on display in Capitol Rotunda Tuesday

         MADISON – Wisconsin’s 16 technical colleges are sending more than 60 students to the State Capitol on Tuesday, February 18, for a Systemwide showcase of service learning and other projects.

11 a.m. - 2 p.m. (Remarks from WTCS President Foy at 12:30 p.m.)

WHERE:

State Capitol Rotunda


         Students will be available to discuss their projects with state legislators and other visitors from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. in the State Capitol Rotunda. Wisconsin Technical College System President Morna Foy will offer brief remarks at 12:30 p.m.

         "Our students possess not only the technical skills to help employers compete and expand," said Foy, "they also consistently demonstrate the leadership skills needed to succeed in the workplace and in the community."

         The WTCS Student Showcase is an annual event designed to increase awareness of the many ways Wisconsin’s technical college students give back to their communities as part of their educational experience.
