Wisconsin Technical College System honors
Crystal Finishing Systems with "Futuremakers Partner Award"

WAUSAU – Crystal Finishing Systems, Inc. of Schofield received a "Futuremakers Partner Award” from the Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS) Board at its quarterly meeting held at Northcentral Technical College.

Mark Tyler, president of the WTCS Board, presented the award to Mark and Laurie Matthiae, founders of the company that specializes in aluminum extrusion, metal fabrication, powder coating and baked enamel.

"Crystal Finishing and their leadership team have implemented sound business practices including creation of premier products with environmental responsibility. They have worked with Northcentral Technical College hiring graduates and continuously retraining their workforce," Tyler explained. "Through these partnerships, we are building a highly-skilled workforce and strong communities," Tyler added, praising the company for its role in planning for the future of a strong manufacturing presence in Central Wisconsin and for supporting community growth.

Mark Matthiae expressed appreciation for the efforts of the NTC faculty and staff "that do such a great job of listening to the needs of manufacturers and businesses here in North Central Wisconsin." He continued, "because of our rapid growth, along with diverse needs in technology, management, and lean quality manufacturing, our partnership with NTC has been paramount to help us continue to grow and satisfy our customer’s needs."

"Crystal Finishing has been a model corporate citizen supporting community growth, and assisting with charities and non-profit organizations. They exemplify the impact one "futuremaker" company can make in a community," Tyler concluded.
