Wisconsin Technical College System
Honors Futuremakers Partner

MADISON - J.H. Findorff & Son, a Madison commercial contractor, received the “Futuremakers Partner Award” from the Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS) Board during its bimonthly meeting Tuesday, Sept. 10 at Madison College.

Drew Petersen, president of the WTCS Board, presented the award to Findorff Chair Richard Lynch and Senior Project Manager John Feller.

"Madison College has benefitted from a long-standing relationship with Findorff that demonstrates the significant advantages of public-private collaboration to prepare workers with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed," Petersen said.

Findorff’s project managers and tradespeople serve on Madison College’s advisory boards for construction-related trades. The company partners with Madison College for the employment and training of apprentices and hires graduates from the college as well. In fact, of the hundreds of Findorff employees and subcontractors involved in the construction of new and renovated college facilities at the regional and Madison campuses, more than 35 percent received training at Madison College.

In addition to providing exceptional customer service during past and recent construction projects for the College, Findorff has contributed $25,000 to advance the skilled trades through student scholarships and other donations.
