Bill Summary:
Introduced by the Committee on Assembly Organization by request of Governor Scott Walker and Rep. Radcliffe (D-Black River Falls) on October 11, 2011. In lieu of granting a high school diploma to a student meeting the current education credit requirement, this bill authorizes a school board to grant a vocational high school diploma to a student who has earned a sufficient number of credits in vocational subjects, as determined by the school board, if the Department of Public Instruction has approved the school district's vocational curriculum.
