Improving opportunities for Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS) students seeking to transfer credit to University of Wisconsin (UW) System institutions is a long-standing priority.  Leadership of the WTCS and the UW System have worked together to develop solutions that are responsive to the demands of students, employers, and taxpayers, promoting seamless solutions to transfer while safeguarding the integrity of the educational experiences offered by the technical colleges and UW System institutions.

Committee on Baccalaureate Expansion

As part of an ongoing process to improve access to higher education and increase the number of baccalaureate degree graduates in Wisconsin, the University of Wisconsin Board of Regents and the Wisconsin Technical College System Board appointed a joint Committee on Baccalaureate Expansion (COBE) in March 2004.  The Committee placed a priority on identifying innovative ways to expand access to higher education that would lead to greater opportunities to complete a baccalaureate degree in Wisconsin.
