Stan Davis is in private practice. Prior to attending law school, Stan graduated from UW-LaCrosse, taught high school in Minneapolis, and worked in the Washington D.C. offices of U.S. Representative Bruce Vento (MN) and U.S. Senator Paul Wellstone (MN). After his graduation from George Washington University Law School in 1998, Stan served as an Assistant Attorney General in the civil litigation unit of the Wisconsin Department of Justice. In 2003, Stan was appointed to serve as Deputy Chief of Staff and Chief Legal Counsel to Governor Jim Doyle. He was also a member of the Wisconsin Claims Board and chairman of the Wisconsin Pardon Advisory Board, and directed the Governor's Homeland Security Council and Judicial Appointments Commission.
In addition to serving as the President of the Wisconsin Technical College System Board, and as a member of the University of Wisconsin Board of Regents, Stan also currently serves on the Wisconsin Energy Conservation Corporation Board, Wisconsin Injured Patients and Families Compensation Fund Board, and the UW-LaCrosse Foundation Board.
Stan and his daughters live in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin.
